1- Before Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing, I attended a different nursing school where I was not impressed with the program and felt unprepared. Transferring put me behind in graduating but it was the best decision I could have made! Now being a graduate of BSMCON, I feel confident, prepared, and excited for my new job as a RN. All of the staff and clinical instructors I got to work with were amazing and really cared about each individual. It’s a tough program to go through, but for good reason. If your considering this nursing program then I highly would recommend!
2- During my time at Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing (BSMCON) thus far, I have not only gained an excellent education but a family as well. The class sizes at Bon Secours are small, which allows students to receive a more one-on-one education, which is vital for a high-quality learning environment. BSMCON also offers access to a therapist for free via telephone. This has helped me personally with balancing the stressors of college, two jobs, and my social life. I have found that taking that extra thirty minutes out of my day to utilize the resources that the school has given me has increased my motivation and success in my classes.
3- Small school, caring staff, top-notch education. Clinicals are especially good in preparing you to be an actual nurse. If you plan to go to graduate school, you should know that BSMCON's accreditation is national, and many schools require regional accreditation. This was a surprise to me and really limited my choices of Nurse Midwifery programs.
