Here are some Mount Carmel College of Nursing reviews on Niche:
1- I have learned a lot from MCCN, and their student: faculty ratio is excellent. However, I have my qualms with this college. Don't expect to be able to plan any vacations or other future plans for the next four years; they give you your schedule for the semester literally a week before it starts. You will be signing up for classes less than a MONTH before you start them. For example, if you are waiting for the summer semester schedule to be released, it won't be until less than a month before summer. In addition, they have a zero tolerance policy for absences for clinicals. So not only can you not plan vacations out, you can't be absent either. I have also witnessed some instances of racism here. My peer was discriminated against here specifically by the older staff members and her grade even suffered. I would suggest this college to others, but not without warning them about these things first.
2- It going great. It is very helpful community that help all the future nurses. There are the resources that can help if you are struggling in course. I was very nervous when I first went because it was nursing school instead of just program but slowly I felt good.
3- I have had a wonderful experience with Mount Carmel College of Nursing. From the admission process to now, attending classes have been a smooth transition since transferring from Columbus State Community College. The only thing I would like to see is more students applying and becoming future nurses.
